FishHeads
FishHeads is a way for Fish to send messages to everyone who is subscribed. The quantity of e-mail is not as high as a mailing list. The list of subscribers is private and will never be distributed to any other source.
To join, send an e-mail to
majordomo at torchsong.com with the following in the body of the message:
subscribe fishheads
You will get a message back, telling you that you have become a member. Please keep this, as it tells you exactly how to unsubscribe.
If your e-mail address is going to change and you want to keep receiving the FishHeads posts, you should send two messages to majordomo at torchsong.com. The first one should be sent from the e-mail address which is currently subscribed, with the following in the body of the message:
unsubscribe fishheads yourname@yourhost.com
(using the e-mail address which is subscribed). The second message - to majordomo at torchsong.com - should be sent from your new e-mail address with the following in the body of the message:
subscribe fishheads
If you have problems or further questions please contact
fishheads-admin at torchsong.com

Freaks is a mailing list for the discussion of Marillion, Fish, and related bands and topics.
Subscribing:
E-mail
freaks-request at torchsong.com using asdf as your Subject line (Subject: asdf), and the first line in the body of the message left justified reading:
subscribe freaks 'your name here'
In place of 'your name here' enter your REAL name, first and last. For example, if your name was John Smith you would say:
subscribe freaks John Smith
Unsubscribing:
Email
freaks-request at torchsong.com using asdf as your Subject line (Subject: asdf), and the first line in the body of the message left justified reading:
unsubscribe freaks
Digest mode / Bounce mode:
There are two ways of receiving the Freaks mailing list, bounce mode or digest mode. Bounce (or Ack) mode means that every message that is sent to the list server is bounced back to you. It is easy to send replies this way. Many people prefer receiving one daily digest that has all message combined. To receive the list in digest format, email
freaks-request at torchsong.com with any subject line (it is ignored), and the first line in the body of the message left justified reading:
set freaks mail digest
To receive the list in bounce format, email
freaks-request at torchsong.com with any subject line (it is ignored), and the first line in the body of the message left justified reading:
set freaks mail ack
To postpone:
If you don't want to unsubscribe but don't want to receive messages for a while (e.g. you are going on holiday), you can:
listproc at torchsong.com
subject: asdf
and in the message body, put
set freaks mail postpone
This does not unsubscribe you, it only stops you getting messages. Then when you want to start getting them again, do the same thing but:
set freaks mail ack
or
set freaks mail digest
You do not need to include your internet address in the messages, and please remember to send the e-mail as PLAIN TEXT and NOT as HTML. (Outlook users, set this in Options: Mail Format). If you don't know how to fix this, use some blank lines around the command, e.g.
unsubscribe freaks John Smith
Contact
freaks-owner at torchsong.com if you have a problem or a question related to the Freaks list (NOT freaks at torchsong.com) using asdf as your Subject line.
