First Fish/Marillion moment?

First song I ever heard was Forgotten Sons on Friday Rock show in 1983. Blew my mind an hooked since. Saw Marillion for the first time in 1984 at Victoria Hall, Hanley. An amazing experience. Saw them 3 times that year.

My tuppence.
In 1983, my boyfriend and I went to lots of gigs, saw some amazing bands, travelled huge distances around the UK. He bought this album called Script something or other and kept nagging me to listen to it but, before I had chance, he bought tickets to see Marillion at Birmingham Odeon. I was living in Walsall at the time (coincidence - my brother was at school with Yatta!) so it wasn't far to go.
I was blown away. Bought the album the next day and joined the Web after my second gig on the same tour. By then I could sing the lyrics!

I'm a Marquee veteran, you know ;)

I have a hobby. I have the world's largest collection of sea shells and I keep it scattered on beaches all over the world. You might have seen part of it.

First Fish/Marillion moment?

My first hearing of anything Fish/Marillion related was courtesy of the late lamented Mr Alan Freeman, who played the live version of Assassing from Real To Reel on his show (this was shortly after Real To Reel's release). I was absolutely blown away - it was so memorable, so powerful... I simply had to go and buy it. The following Monday I was the proud owner of a vinyl picture disc of Real To Reel, which was followed shortly afterwards by Fugazi and Script... (in that order). The rest, as they say, is history... 8-)
